1915 − Cadastre measurement originated in Perlis State under Superintendent Ukur Kedah's administration by agreement between Kedah State Government with Perlis State Government.Kedah's North District surveyor had been assigned to carry out this measuring work.
1951 − Plan Akui (Certified Plan) first of Perlis CP State 164 approved on 10 March 1951.
1956 − Pejabat Ukur Daerah Perlis's materialization in Hospital Street, Kangar namely Jabatan Ukur Kedah's new branch / Perlis. Carry out cadastre measurement over Perlis State, Daerah Kubang Pasu, Kedah and Daerah Langkawi, Kedah.
1964 − Pejabat Ukur Daerah Perlis move to Tingkat 3, Bangunan Persekutuan.
1995 − Jabatan Ukur dan Pemetaan Perlis set up and move to Tingkat 7, Bangunan KWSP, Jalan Bukit Lagi, Kangar.
After JUPEM PERLIS's materialization, Pejabat Ukur Daerah Perlis just went about cadastre measurement of Perlis State. Measurement in Daerah Kubang Pasu and Daerah Langkawi commended to Pejabat Ukur Daerah Kedah North, Alor Setar.
Land Minister and Cooperative Development, YB Datuk Osu bin Hj. Sukam have launched JUPEM Perlis in 16 December 1995.
The first of Plan Akui of JUPEM Perlis namely PA 70000 come to pass at 19 December 1995.
1998 − Pejabat Ukur Daerah Perlis moved to Tingkat 6, Bangunan Pesekutuan Kangar, Persiaran Jubli Emas, Kangar in 1 April 1998.

Modernized Department
Computerization programs at JUPEM has transformed it into one of government’s most up-to-date and modern departments in the State. With the successful implementation of Sistem Pengurusan Data Kadaster (SPDK), together with the deployment of GPS and Total Stations in outstation jobs, this department has advanced to a centre of excellence in the line survey and mapping industry.
